TherapeuticIf you are suffering from a substance abuse disorder or a mental health disorder, or both – we want to help! Her House is a full-service treatment facility that offers extensive therapeutic options.

Addiction is a physical, mental, emotional, and biological disease. Addiction is not the fault of the person who is experiencing it. Many women tend to feel guilty that they have a drug problem. It is not easy to admit that substances have taken over your life. Admitting you have a problem and need help is the first step in changing your life.

You do not have to feel guilt or shame for a substance abuse problem. Addiction can strike women at any age and it is by no fault of their own. Consider those who are diagnosed with diabetes or cancer – you know it is not the sufferer’s fault. The disease of addiction is no different.

“If you are not happy with something, you should change it. So I went to a lot of therapy, and finally, I am able to speak up for myself: You are going to hear me roar”! - Katy Perry

No one wants to have a disease. Thankfully, just like cancer and diabetes – there are treatment options to arrest and manage the diagnosis! Our treatment center is home to many proven strategies for treating addiction.

Mental disorders affect millions of people worldwide. Women are twice as likely as men to experience mental health problems. Living with an untreated mental health disorder can feel terrifying. If you have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder, Her House can start you on the path of freedom.

We implement therapeutic options that are beneficial in the successful treatment of mental health disorders.

Her House Rehab employs caring and skilled experts in the field of addiction and mental health. Our team is dedicated to your wellness.

You could have an addiction and mental health disorder coupled together. We have a program for women that have co-occurring disorders at Her House Rehab. We will focus on treating both of these aspects at the same time. We want you to have the best chance of lifelong recovery.

Here is a brief overview of therapeutic elements incorporated at Her House. One or any combination of these therapies could be used as part of your specific treatment plan at our treatment center.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is focused on changing the way a person thinks, behaves, and feels. One of the aspects of addiction concerns the way a person thinks. The text of one of the many recovery books available states “our problem is centered in our mind.” CBT aids clients in discovering new and improved ways of thinking – thereby changing the resulting actions and feelings.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy
This type of therapy relies on the power of positive thinking. SFBT focuses on the solution rather than talking intently about the presenting problems. This therapy is brief in nature.
Brief Strategic Family Therapy
Many families are affected by addiction and mental health disorders. We believe in getting the entire family on the road to recovery. It is of utmost importance to us that you return home to a safe and healthy environment. We care about you and your family.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR stands for “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing”. This therapy has been successful in treating panic disorders and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The underlying basis of this therapy helps women create a new experience with their past trauma.
Psychoeducational Groups
Group therapy is a powerful tool. This type of group therapy focuses on education and coping skills. Women supporting and helping each other is an awesome experience. The network of other women you will meet along on the way can become an amazing source of help.
“I'm on a constant path of self-discovery and change. I'm trying to become a better person, a nicer person. I love therapy - it's brilliant.” - Julia Sawalha
