  • Engage in physical activity – Whether just running around, going to the gym or doing some laborious work, the important thing is you sweat out the toxins from your body while also allowing you to take your mind off your situation. Exercise, for instance, will release endorphins to your body which will help you feel good especially if you have bouts of depression.  
  • Socialize and isolate – That might seem a contradiction but what we mean is this: you socialize so you won’t feel alone in your thoughts, and help you feel good about yourself. On the other end of the spectrum, you isolate yourself from your drinking buddies, or from situations that might prompt you to pick up that bottle. By avoiding temptation in the first place, you reduce the chance of being tempted when the cravings hit.   

Undergoing detox for women is a very hard process indeed. It makes no sense to have to go through all that just to relapse eventually. Group or individual therapy sessions will also help you iron out your issues. The most important to remember is you need help, so don’t be afraid to ask for it.
