Addiction is a family disease – one person may use, however, the whole family suffers. We know that the addict’s journey into full-blown addiction has been a frightening time for everyone. Fear and anxiety can consume the whole family.
The wonderful news is that your loved one is taking the first step towards recovery by entering treatment at New Creation Treatment.
You could be wondering what to expect in the coming days and weeks as your beloved family member receives the treatment that they so desperately need.

Addiction is a threefold disease that centers on the mind, body, and spirit. In other words – addiction is a brain disease, physical ailment, and mental obsession. Treatment is required if there is any hope of overcoming addiction.
It is not your loved one’s fault that they are an addict. Addiction does not discriminate. Addiction can strike the most beautiful, loving, and talented people. Judgment and shaming have no place at Her House.
Our facility grounds are beautiful and serene thereby allowing your loved one to heal in an ideal California setting. If your loved one has to go through a detoxification process, we will make sure that they are as comfortable as possible. Our highly trained medical personnel will take every effort to ensure their safety. The safety of our loved one is of utmost importance to all of us at Her House.
We have various forms of therapy offered at New Creation Treatment along with an introduction to twelve step programs that have countless other women recover and live happy lives.
Your loved one will be able to contact you via telephone during designated call times. After your loved one has settled in and is getting acclimated to the treatment setting you will be invited to participate in Family Day at New Creation Treatment.
Family Day is a very special opportunity for you and your loved one to reconnect. This gives both the client and their family a chance to see each other and the wonderful changes that are occurring!
Many family systems are damaged by the time treatment is sought. We have a family therapy program at New Creation Treatment that focuses on bringing the family together. We want to help foster open communication between family members. It is important that when the recovering addict returns home that everyone is participating in new and healthy approaches.
We advocate for family members to attend any of the support networks that are available for families. Al-Anon, Families Anonymous, Alateen, and Parents Anonymous are a few. This is also the beginning of own recovery from the effects of addiction. These support networks coupled with family therapy can be of great help for everyone!
If you have any questions about what you can you do for own recovery or about the admissions process, please do not hesitate to contact us!
